Classic Urban Car Museum
Whether they are cruising down Whittier Boulevard in East L.A. or bouncing down the block in Compton Cali they are remarkable works of art hand crafted with meticulous care. What began as a hobby for a cool few has now become a head-turning worldwide phenomenon. Low Riders, don’t create their art and hang it on a wall, they drive it through the streets and park it alongside the creations of other auto artists from the “Low and Slow” culture. Our Classic Urban Car Museum showcases the tradition passed down from Mexican American veterans in the 1940s, to those Black and Brown car enthusiasts who immortalized the Chevrolet Impala, and turned metal into masterpieces.
African Alive! Event and Information Center
The Ring of Honor is the name given the flag poles that surround the Africa Alive! Event and Information Center. The Ring and Center will feature the flags of African nations. The statues that stand outside the center entrance represent the strength and freedom of Africa. The statue features a male and female breaking chains, both with children clinging to them. Visitors to the Center will be able to learn about each African nation and book trips, vacations, or group trips to Africa through the Africa Alive! travel agents or get assistance to complete their travel plans online. Tourists will also be able to sign up for group tours to Africa through the center. African Diplomats and groups will be able to book the Center for events. Africa Alive! is a bridge between the African diaspora and the continent of Africa.
