Carver Eco-Farm
Eco-farming, also known as ecological farming or eco-agriculture, refers to farming practices that prioritize environmental sustainability and the health of ecosystems. It’s a holistic approach that combines modern agricultural science with respect for nature, biodiversity, and the long-term well-being of the land. Carver Eco-farm aims to produce food in a way that minimizes negative environmental impacts and promotes ecological balance. The Farm is about more than just growing food, it is where you can experience hydroponic farming, campfire tours, tree planting ceremonies, product manufacturing plant, Carver’s Farm Market, clean cooking classes, the farm nursery, solar power farm, a tiny housing village and more.
TLC Nursery
Our plant and produce nursery is where young plants are cultivated, cared for, and grown for transplanting or sale. TLC nursery specializes in various types of plants, including trees, shrubs, vegetables, and essential plants for landscaping. Nurseries focus on growing plants from seeds or cuttings, providing them with the necessary conditions for germination and early development. The nursery also specializes in specific types of plants, such as fruit trees, ornamental trees, or vegetable seedling. Our nursery sells plants to other businesses (wholesale) or directly to the public (retail).
Hydroponic Farming
Whether you sing for a living or live to sing the Karaoke Lounge provides hours of enjoyment for you, your friends and everyone who loves music. Singing your favorite songs, the latest hits, or something you’ve never heard before, it all adds up to a great evening of fun. Imitate your favorite artists or invent a style of your own karaoke time is all about you letting your star shine. The pure joy of unwinding after a long week’s work by taking your turn in the spotlight makes for an unforgettable evening.
Tiny Home Village
Tiny homes are small, often mobile, dwellings, typically less than 500 square feet, designed for minimalist living and space efficiency. The many groups who choose to stay at Carver Eco-Farms for their events, activities, workshops, and classes will get to enjoy our tiny homes for accommodations. Our tiny home village sits on the edge of Carver Eco-Farm in site of the Majestic Mayan Mountains surrounded by the natural beauty of A Town Called Freedom. Our tiny homes are cleverly designed for functionality and maximizing space, with lofts for a sleeping area.
Campfire Tours
Our campfire tours offer a variety of fun and engaging activities, from classic games and sing-alongs to storytelling and stargazing. Roasting marshmallows and enjoying campfire treats are among the popular activities our campfire tourists will get to enjoy during their stay at Carver Eco-Farm. A few fun days in the wilderness are just what’s needed to rejuvenate our visitors. Our Campfire Tours create fun times for families, groups, and individuals.
Tree Planting Ceremonies
Our Tree Planting Ceremonies allow participants to enjoy the process of transplanting tree seedlings, or saplings, into a designated area to establish new forests or enhance existing ones. It’s a vital practice for reforestation, carbon sequestration, and overall environmental health that participants can be proud to say they took part in. Years later they can return to the site of the planting and see the result of their efforts. Tree planting ceremonies can be scheduled for families, schools, groups, clubs, and individuals to celebrate special occasions or even memorialize loved ones.
Carver Farm Manufacturinge
Carver Farm manufacturing is a facility where fresh fruits and vegetables are processed, packaged, and prepared for distribution. These plants handle the transformation of raw produce into various forms, including pre-cut items, salads, juices, and other food products, to meet consumer demands. The plant makes sure produce is thoroughly washed and cleaned to remove dirt, debris, and potential contaminants. The prepared produce is packaged for retail sale or further processing.
Henson’s Wilderness Store
Our wilderness store, also known as a survival store or outdoor store, is a retail business specializing in equipment and supplies for outdoor activities and wilderness survival. Henson’s Wilderness Store caries a range of items, including camping gear, hiking equipment, fishing supplies, and long-term food storage. The wilderness store also offers bicycles and related accessories. The wilderness store provides the tools and supplies needed for individuals to enjoy and survive in natural environments, whether for recreational activities or emergency preparedness. Dehydrated and freeze-dried meals, canned goods and other non-perishable food items, and Water purification systems. Henson’s also carries rods, reels, fishing line, tackle and lures, waders and other fishing apparel.
Clean Cooking Classes
Our clean cooking classes focus on teaching individuals how to prepare food using methods and fuels that minimize negative impacts on health, the environment, and climate. These classes often emphasize using modern, efficient stoves and cleaner fuels like electricity, solar, or gas, rather than traditional biomass like firewood and charcoal. They also promote techniques that reduce emissions and improve indoor air quality. These classes also use organic produce and natural unprocessed food recipes to teach students a healthier way of cooking and eating.
Solar Power Farm
Our solar farm, also known as a solar park or photovoltaic power station, is a large-scale installation of solar panels designed to generate electricity for the A Town Called Freedom grid. This farm consist of thousands of ground-mounted solar panels that capture sunlight and convert it into electricity, which is then fed into the electrical grid for distribution and consumption throughout ATCF.
